A few years ago during a training I first heard to the phrase ‘servant leader.’ It was connected to the CEO of the business at the time who truly embodied the meaning of the phrase, as the CEO was wholly committed to keeping the business invested in the growth of our local communities. Fast forward more than a decade and I was reminded of ‘servant leadership’ when I interviewed Charlotte real estate developer James Scruggs for the November/December issue of Pride Magazine. Scruggs is using real estate to help build in service to God and in service to the city of Charlotte.
